Self Portrait: a hopeful personality study

This is for raiinysummer 's contest here! she has 2 categories; the one I picked is the self portrait one, and the other has prompt words like wind and rhythm. I actually went with a self portrait because tbh I think I've changed a bit since coming into PhD and I've actually been thinking liek "WHAT IS ME" 
*ahem*super long analysis warning *  

It was a really good opportunity to sort of step back and thick about what made me ME. 
SO after some thinking about it I decided the biggest thing about my personality was "adaptability" and "looking forward." When things happen, I usually get over pretty quickly or just adapt to it. But it doesn't mean I forget easily; more like, I just kind of say "that was a nice memory. that was a good lesson." and keep going _{(to put it bluntly I'm one of those people who breaks up with someone but says "lets keep being friends")}

It's a good trait in the sense that I don't stay negative about anything and tend to be optimistic, but a bad trait in that my thinking is often naive and shallow and I can't take things very seriously because I end up thinking "aaaa oh well"

another thing to note about me is that (at least until recently) I get cuts and scrapes a lot randomly for some odd reason. To combat that, I always have band-aids and neosporin, to a point that whenever any one got hurt my friends would yell "WHERES DONNA WE NEED YOUR SUPPLIES".

So I combined the two; basically, when I get down (little mental cuts and bruises), I don't think too hard about it, just make a quick change (put a pretty band aid over it), adapt (which is what I was trying to get at the hair looking flowy and little like water) and move on.

Also, I did the painting on a single layer (except for the occasional multiply/ cut things around edits), so that was pretty fun
